CLIMA 2
The active vapor control membrane Eurovent® CLIMA 2, two-layered, consists of a layer of polypropylene nonwoven and a special functional film. The functional film enables controlled migration of small amounts of water vapor from inside the building towards the attic and vice versa, providing it with the properties of so-called active vapor insulation.
The membrane can be customized with two self-adhesive tapes - SYSTEM SK2.

Application and technical data
The Eurovent® CLIMA 2 vapour control membrane is used as a vapour barrier layer protecting attics and walls against the penetration of excess moisture from the interior into the thermal insulation. Its active properties effectively prevent the “plastic bag effect”, eliminating the risk of mould and fungal growth. Eurovent® CLIMA 2 is recommended for both residential and industrial construction and is suitable for a wide range of construction technologies, including prefabricated, modular, timber-frame and traditional building systems. During installation of the Eurovent® CLIMA 2 vapour control membrane, it is recommended to use Eurovent® UNISAN and Eurovent® DUO adhesive tapes for bonding overlapping membrane joints, as well as Eurovent® UNO tape for sealing connections with structural elements.

In order to ensure maximum performance of the CLIMA 2 roof membrane, it should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which increase the tightness of overlaps and the durability of installation joints,
- Eurovent® ventilation accessories, supporting proper air flow and reducing the risk of condensation within the roof structure,
- Eurovent® eaves system components, ensuring effective water drainage and continuous air intake into the ventilation layer,
- Eurovent® roof clips, stabilising the roof covering and increasing the roof slope resistance to snow loads and wind action.
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions guarantees membrane durability, full protection of the roof structure and reliable performance of the entire system for many years.
