Membranes and foils

Eurovent® MAXI zastosowanie

A wide range of highly vapour-permeable roof membranes, including three-layer and four-layer solutions with a microporous or monolithic functional film. They are used in pitched roofs, both with full boarding and without boarding, covered with ceramic or concrete roof tiles, metal roof tiles, standing seam metal roofing, bitumen shingles, or natural slate. The range is complemented by low vapour-permeable roofing underlays.

Our roof membranes and roofing foils are modern solutions designed to provide effective protection against moisture, wind, and mechanical damage. Installed as an underlay layer, they protect the roof structure against water ingress and water vapour condensation. We offer highly vapour-permeable membranes that allow moisture to escape freely to the outside, preventing mould growth and moisture accumulation in thermal insulation. Our roofing foils perform both protective and insulating functions, significantly increasing the durability of the entire roof structure.

The products available in our range are resistant to UV radiation, tearing, and changing weather conditions. The selection of the appropriate membrane depends on the type of roof covering and the building’s ventilation system. Thanks to high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing technology, our products ensure long service life and safe use. A properly selected membrane is a key element in guaranteeing comfort and reliability for every roof.

What is the difference between a highly vapour-permeable roof membrane and a roofing foil?

Highly vapour-permeable membranes allow water vapour to be freely released from the thermal insulation and can be used in insulated roofs. Low vapour-permeable roofing foils are mainly intended for non-insulated roofs and require efficient ventilation of the under-roof space.

How to select a roof membrane according to the type of roof covering and roof structure?

The choice of membrane depends on whether the roof has full boarding or not, the roof pitch, and the type of roof covering. For insulated roofs, highly vapour-permeable membranes are recommended. In roofs with low pitches or demanding roof coverings, membranes with increased mechanical strength and higher water tightness are required.

Why is the quality of a roof membrane crucial for roof durability?

A roof membrane protects the roof structure against moisture, wind, and water vapour condensation. Its quality directly affects the durability of the thermal insulation, the structural safety, and long-term comfort of use of the roof.

Which roof membrane is suitable for standard pitched roofs, including those with full boarding?

For such applications, most highly vapour-permeable Eurovent® membranes are suitable, for example Eurovent® CLASSIC – a three-layer highly vapour-permeable membrane designed for insulated and ventilated roofs, also suitable for full boarding.

Which membrane should be chosen when increased strength and roofer comfort are essential?

Membranes from the STRONG series are a good choice. These are four-layer membranes reinforced with a PE mesh, offering high tear resistance and increased installation comfort.

When should an anti-condensation membrane be used under metal roofing?

An anti-condensation membrane, such as Eurovent® MAGNUM, is used under metal roof coverings where there is a risk of water vapour condensation. The anti-condensation layer reduces dripping and protects the roof structure.

Which membrane is the best solution for bitumen shingles and full boarding?

For bitumen shingles and full boarding, Eurovent® BITUMI is recommended – a waterproof bituminous membrane that provides durable and effective roof protection.

In which roofs are low vapour-permeable roofing foils used?

Low vapour-permeable roofing foils, such as Eurovent® SILVER, are used in non-insulated, ventilated, and non-boarded roofs, where they serve a protective function and support proper roof ventilation.
