Eurovent® COMPRE X - izolacja-kosz-dachowego-tasma-rozprezna

The roof valley, as the junction of two roof slopes, is one of the areas most exposed to rainwater and runoff, which is why it requires special attention during installation and finishing. Proper execution of a roof valley is essential not only for watertightness, but also for the aesthetics and long-term durability of the entire roof surface. The use of appropriate sealing tapes, valley flashings, and sealing components ensures effective drainage of water into the gutter system and protects the roof structure against leaks and moisture ingress.

The Eurovent® roof valley system includes a wide range of components:

  • Roof valleys KOSZ L and KOSZ Q – transversely or longitudinally profiled valley flashings, coated with polyester paint, ensuring efficient water drainage from the roof slopes.
  • Valley clip – a fixing element that secures the valley to the roof structure, allowing fast and precise installation without drilling.
  • Sealing wedges KLIN, KLIN 4, KLIN X – made of self-adhesive polyurethane foam, perfectly adapting to the shape of the roof covering and ensuring a tight seal between the valley and the roof slope.

All components are available in colours from the RAL palette – from brick red (RAL 8004) through anthracite (RAL 7021) to black (RAL 9005) – allowing for an aesthetic match with any type of roof covering.

FAQ

Good to know

Why is the roof valley one of the most critical areas of the roof?

The roof valley is located at the junction of two roof slopes, where the highest volume of rainwater is collected and discharged. Improper installation of this area can lead to leaks, moisture penetration into the roof structure, and damage to the thermal insulation. For this reason, the valley requires the use of dedicated components that ensure controlled water drainage and reliable watertightness.

Which elements are essential for proper roof valley installation?

A correctly executed roof valley should consist of a properly profiled valley flashing, a stable fixing system, and effective side sealing. Only a complete, system-based solution guarantees tightness, durability, and an aesthetically finished roof detail.

Which type of roof valley ensures efficient and controlled drainage of water from the roof slopes?

This function is fulfilled by Eurovent® KOSZ L – a profiled roof valley flashing coated with polyester paint, designed for efficient rainwater drainage into the gutter system. Its construction increases the safety of the valley area and enhances the durability of the entire roof surface.

How should the connection between the roof valley and the roof covering be sealed to prevent leaks?

For sealing the side zones of the valley, Eurovent® KLIN sealing wedges are used. Made of self-adhesive polyurethane foam, the wedges adapt to the shape of the roof tiles, reduce wind-driven water and snow penetration, and ensure long-lasting tightness of the connection between the valley and the roof slope.
