Facade
Solutions designed to provide effective protection of external wall structures against wind, moisture, and heat loss. The system consists of wind barrier membranes as well as sealing tapes and accessories, which together form a durable, weather-resistant barrier protecting the building envelope from the outside.
Eurovent® wind barrier membranes protect the building envelope against cold air infiltration and driving rain while allowing water vapour to freely escape from the wall structure. Thanks to their high vapour permeability and mechanical strength, they are ideally suited for timber-frame buildings, ventilated façades, and façade systems with timber, metal, or composite cladding.
The system is complemented by Eurovent® sealing tapes and accessories, which ensure airtight and durable connections of membranes, corners, and edges. High adhesion and UV resistance guarantee long-lasting performance even under demanding installation conditions.

TO KNOW
In ventilated façade systems, it is recommended to use tapes with high resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation, such as butyl tapes, PE tapes, or reinforced tapes for durable bonding of façade membranes. These tapes stabilise wind barrier membrane joints and protect critical areas against driving rain and wind penetration. A perfect example is Eurovent® UNO COLD UV tape.
The wind barrier protects wall insulation against air leakage and moisture ingress. Its effectiveness depends on the airtightness of all connections—any discontinuity can lead to heat loss and reduced energy efficiency of the building. Eurovent® sealing tapes ensure durable bonding of membrane overlaps and effective sealing around openings, profiles, and fixings.
Ventilated façades with open joints require wind barrier membranes with enhanced UV resistance, high vapour permeability, and dimensional stability when partially exposed. An excellent example is Eurovent® FASSADE X - a two-layer, monolithic façade membrane specifically designed for façades with visible joints up to 30 mm, exposing a maximum of 30% of the membrane surface.
Metal façades—both ventilated and non-ventilated—require a specialist membrane that simultaneously acts as a wind barrier, separation layer, and drainage layer. For such applications, Eurovent® METALLIC is the ideal solution—a three-layer membrane with a polypropylene mesh that creates a spacing layer between the metal cladding and the substrate. The mesh ensures continuous air circulation, enables condensate drainage, and protects the metal cladding against corrosion caused by trapped moisture.
Yes—provided that a membrane with appropriate technical parameters is used. An example is Eurovent® HOME PRO—a three-layer, highly vapour-permeable wind barrier membrane designed for both pitched roofs and façade systems.
The product can be used in masonry, prefabricated, timber-frame, and CLT construction, including full boarding. It features high tear resistance, excellent watertightness (>3000 mm H₂O), and UV resistance, providing effective protection against wind, rain, and moisture. The EMICODE® EC1 PLUS certification confirms very low VOC emissions, making HOME PRO suitable for energy-efficient and passive buildings as well.
