AKTIV ALU
The Eurovent® AKTIV ALU is three-layer aluminum active vapour control. Made of polypropylene nonwoven, functional film and aluminum coating which enables reflection of heat rays towards the inside of the building. The active properties of a vapour control membrane prevent the condensation of water vapour, which is not provided by conventional vapour barrier foils.
The membrane is available in the SYSTEM SK2 with two self-adhesive tapes.

Application and technical data
The Eurovent® AKTIV ALU vapour control membrane is used in residential and industrial construction as a vapour barrier layer protecting attics against the penetration of excess moisture from the interior into the thermal insulation. It protects structural timber against decay. During installation, the use of Eurovent® DUO adhesive tape is mandatory for bonding overlapping joints and sealing connections with roof structural elements.

In order to ensure maximum performance of the AKTIV ALU vapour control membrane, it should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which increase the tightness of overlaps, edges and service penetration points,
- Eurovent® highly vapour-permeable roof membranes, which provide external protection of the structure and support controlled water vapour flow,
- Eurovent® ventilation accessories, ensuring proper air circulation and reducing the risk of condensation within the assembly,
- Eurovent® eaves system components, enabling effective moisture discharge and proper air intake into the ventilation layer.
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions guarantees vapour control membrane tightness, moisture control inside the building and long-term durability of the entire roof structure.
