The butyl double-sided Eurovent BUTYL tape for joining and sealing vapour-barrier foils, roof membranes, foundation foils and other plastic-based construction materials. Solvent-free product based on butyl adhesive with a separating silicone film.

Application and technical data

The Eurovent® GEO BUTYL butyl tape is used for bonding and sealing roof membranes and films, foundation foils, vapour control membranes and construction foils. It provides excellent adhesion when bonding various types of foils and insulation materials to other plastics, concrete, brick or metal elements. It is commonly used for chimney flashings and other elements protruding above the roof slope.

When applied with foundation foils, it serves as an ideal bonding and sealing material for overlapping foil joints, ensuring tightness against groundwater penetration. In case of any doubts regarding the quality of the substrate to be bonded, an adhesion test should be carried out.
