The double-sided butyl tape Eurovent® BUTYL is designed for joining and sealing vapour control films, roofing films and roof membranes, foundation films and other construction products based on plastics. Made on the basis of butyl, solvent-free, protected with a layer of foil. It is a friendly product for people and the environment.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® BUTYL double-sided butyl tape is used for joining and sealing roof membranes and films, foundation films, vapour control layers and construction films. It bonds films and insulation materials to plastics, concrete, brick and metal components. It is also used for chimney flashings and other elements projecting above the roof. In foundation applications, it joins and seals film overlaps against moisture and groundwater.

To ensure maximum performance of BUTYL, it is recommended to use it as part of a complete roofing system together with:
- Eurovent® roof membranes (roof underlays / underdeck membranes), which create a stable substrate for durable and flexible sealing with BUTYL,
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes (vapour barriers), where BUTYL ensures airtight and ageing-resistant sealing of detailing areas and service penetrations,
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, complementing the performance of BUTYL in areas requiring additional reinforcement and enhanced airtightness,
- Eurovent® metal flashing elements, where BUTYL performs as a flexible, high-adhesion seal between metal components and adjacent roofing layers.
