AKTIV 3
The Eurovent® AKTIV 3 is three - layer active vapour control. Made of two layers of polypropylene nonwoven and functional film which controls the transfer of vapour towards the attic or towards the inside of the building and, if necessary, from the attic to the inside too . The active properties of the membrane consist in supporting moisture removal, which is not ensured by regular vapour barrier films.
The membrane is available in the SYSTEM SK2 with two self - adhesive tapes.

Application and technical data
The Eurovent® AKTIV 3 vapour control membrane is used in residential and industrial construction, as well as in timber-frame buildings, as a vapour barrier layer protecting attics against the penetration of excess moisture from the interior into the thermal insulation. It is particularly suitable for attic insulation using cellulose-based insulation materials. Thanks to its active properties, it prevents, among other things, the “plastic bag effect”, i.e. the formation of mould and fungi in the attic as a result of excess moisture. During installation, the use of Eurovent® DUO adhesive tape is mandatory for bonding overlapping joints and sealing connections with roof structural elements.

In order to ensure maximum performance of the AKTIV 3 roof membrane, it should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which increase the tightness of overlaps and the durability of all installation joints,
- Eurovent® ventilation accessories, supporting proper air flow and reducing the risk of condensation within the roof structure,
- Eurovent® eaves system components, ensuring effective water drainage and proper air intake into the ventilation layer,
- Eurovent® roof clips, stabilising the roof covering and increasing the roof slope resistance to snow loads and wind action.
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions guarantees long-term protection of the roof structure, high membrane functionality and reliable performance of the entire system for many years.
